Bolivian Amazon
Vast valleys and rolling hills of wild rainforest cover the Eastern half of Bolivia and are home to over 17,000 species of plans including over 3,000 species of medicinal plants (we really might have a cure for EVERYTHING!) and is considered as the place of origin for species such as peanuts, yucca, peppers and chili peppers (you’re welcome Mexico!). An incredible 40% of the world’s known wildlife can be found in Bolivia’s Amazon making it the world’s 6th most diverse country. Here you will find more than 2,900 species of animal including almost 400 mammals and more than 1,400 species of bird. If you have dreams of catching sight of a wild capuchin monkey, a tapir or even a glimpse of the elusive jaguar then this it’s the place to go. Bring your camera and see nature at its finest.
